POST-TREATMENT INSTRUCTIONS

For best results:

- Stay hydrated

- Use SPF 30+ with Zinc Oxide and/or Titanium Dioxide daily.

- Follow a good skin care regimen

For the next 24-48 hours AVOID:

- Sweating, straining, heavy lifting, vigorous exercise or other activities that cause skin flushing.

- Excessively hot or cold water - wash with tepid water

- Swimming pools and spas with multiple chemicals/chlorine


Some treatments may be performed on the same day. Once complete, AVOID any additional procedures to the treatment area (including cosmetic treatments) for 2 weeks.

For the next 2 weeks AVOID:

- Direct Sun exposure (if in-between IPL treatments, avoid sun exposure 4 weeks prior to treatment)

- Exfoliating, or scratching of the skin

- Use of scented lotions or soaps, exfoliant creams (Retin-A, glycolic/salicylic and alpha- hydroxy acids), acne creams or gels, loofa sponges and aggressive scrubbing

After treatment slight redness, swelling, darkening of skin, and a mild sunburn sensation in the treatment
area is normal.

- These symptoms can persist for 14 days on average.

- Take Tylenol (acetaminophen) as needed for pain.

- You may apply ice lightly to the treatment area for comfort as needed. Alternate ice 20 min on 20 min off and do not apply ice directly to skin.

- Apply Vitamin E or Aloe Vera as needed to help soothe and calm the treatment area.

- Hydrocortisone cream can be applied as needed to decrease itch.

- If symptoms persist for more than 2 weeks, call the clinic to speak with a medical professional.

- If symptoms worsen or you are experiencing symptoms other than the ones listed above, call the clinic to speak with a medical professional.
